THIS WEEK AT NCTV is Norfolk Community Television's blog recapping each week and highlighting upcoming workshops, events, premieres, and volunteer opportunities!  Check in every Friday starting at 4 PM for the latest scoop about the station, its members, the schools, and the town.


-On Tuesday evening, Production Coordinator Chris Lawn taught our Basic Editing: Final Cut Pro X Workshop - where students learned how to import media, do simple editing, add music and sound effects, and create titles!

-Executive Director Katy Woodhams chronicled the official H. Olive Day 100th Day Of School on Thursday morning.

-Young talent glided onto the ice at the Norfolk Ice Arena to perform for the annual H. Olive Day 2016 Skate Day, followed eagerly by the 2nd grade students who enjoyed mini-lessons and over an hour of free skate time.

-Today marks the final production day of the Healthy Eating Girl Scout Gold Award Project created and presented by Caitlin Donahue.  Stay tuned to our channels and the NCTV YouTube Page for the premiere of these fun and educational videos!


-This upcoming Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 6:30 PM in the main studio, NCTV Board Member Jordan Tynes will teach our Advanced Editing: Final Cut Pro X Workshop - where you can learn how to import, edit, add music and sound effects, titles, and so much more!  No prior experience necessary.  For more info, or to sign up online, click here or just show up the day of!

-In partnership with the Norfolk Recreation Department, NCTV will be hosting our February Vacation Comedy Skit Program starting this upcoming Tuesday, February 16 through Friday, February 19, 2016!  This year, those attending will plan, write, film, and edit a comedy skit (or two!) in the studio.  All students will be expected to participate both in front of and behind the camera.  This year is already full (woohoo!), but stay tuned to the NCTV website and the Norfolk Recreation Department Activities Registration Page for information about future programs!
