The sun shone bright on a mild summer Saturday at the 23rd Annual Norfolk Community Day, presented by the Norfolk Lions, as NCTV arrived on the scene to capture the sights and sounds of this lovely town event.
The day kicked off to a relaxing start with Caribbean music played by the King Philip World Percussion Band followed by the beating of African drums accompanied by traditional dance.
Children roamed through classic cars freely from snow-cones to bouncy houses to fun activities as Kathy Ryan's Dance students performed a variety of choreographed numbers.
Johnny Fireseed and the Junkyard Dogs shared their brand of blues rock as NCTV producer Anne Marie Battistone interviewed local business and non-profits and showcased the work of the talented young individuals who partcipated in the Youth Art Show.
The day finally culminated with an uplifting performance by the Inspiration Dance Troupe followed by a pie eating contest, the classic golf ball drop, and children splashing in a field of foam!
