Norfolk Community Day is coming up once again on Saturday, June 6, 2015. All of us at NCTV are excited to be there to cover all the various festivities. There is always so much going on at once at Community Day so we will do our best to try to capture as much of the action as we can.

At any given moment, members of the community could be viewing wonderful pieces of art from local students, taking a hayride, getting close to the animals at the petting zoo, or riding the train around the Holmes grounds all while munching on some popcorn or nursing a sno-cone. There are also many games to participate in. Test your strength the old school way with a mallet and the high striker! Test your appetite in a pie eating contest! Donate and then test your luck with the golf ball drop! If you're a child, test how long you can jump around a bouncy house! Unfortunately, it seems frowned upon for adults to jump around on the inflatable games...

If games aren't your thing, you can of course take in a nice show from any of the several acts we have in Norfolk. Whether it be the Kathy Ryan Dance Studio dancers, the King Philip Steel Drum Ensemble, or the Good Tymes Banjo Band, there is a vast amount of talent to be appreciated at Community Day. We'll be filming all of these acts for your viewing pleasure even after the day is done. We hope to get some new and exciting angles with the help of King Philip Television's drone! Oh, and of course, stop by the NCTV booth for some free stuff!

Once we see your lovely faces at our booth, you will also have the chance to sign up for our first Public Service Announcement Day on Friday, September 18, 2015 from 12 PM - 5 PM.  This is an opportunity for non-profit and government organizations to spread their message(s) to the community!  All you have to do is sign up for a time-slot and NCTV will take care of the rest.  We will gather pictures, and any other materials you'd like to use, before the event so once the day arrives, you can just show up, sit down, and talk about all the greatness your organization exhibits.  If you're interested in participating, please visit our booth on Community Day OR contact us by emailing or calling our main number 508-520-2780.  See you in June!
