-NCTV celebrated the first full week of Media Literacy Month 2016 which included free walk-in tech help hours, our Media Literacy Basics Workshop, and a screening of the documentary Eyes Wide Open: This is Media.
-Pamela Ruby Russell, NCTV Board of Directors President, began the process of editing the upcoming Presidential Candidates Birthcharts Presentation special which looks to the stars to gain a little more insight on the people vying to become our next national leader.
-NCTV Board member and host Jill Hindley Lawrence welcomed Laurence Magner, President of the Cactus and Succulent Society of Massachusetts, on a new episode of Our Town to show off some of the beautiful plants in his collection and promote the upcoming free Cactus Show at the Norfolk Public Library next Saturday, September 17, and Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 10 AM to 7 PM.
-Chris Labonte came into the studio to for a performance of his original song "Teepee.".
-On Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 6:30 PM in the main studio, Chris Lawn will teach our Clicking Trickery Workshop - where you can learn how to keep you and your family safe online by educating yourself about different types of e-mail scams, what websites to trust (or not trust!), how to make the most of an internet search, and online shopping do's and don'ts! -As part of our upcoming Media Literacy Month 2016 in September, NCTV is proud to announce our 2nd Annual Public Service Announcement Day this upcoming Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 3 PM to 8 PM - a wonderful opportunity for local government and non-profit organizations to get their message out to our local community by creating a general message about their organization or promoting a specific event!
