THIS WEEK AT NCTV is Norfolk Community Television's blog recapping each week and highlighting upcoming workshops, events, premieres, and volunteer opportunities!  Check in every Friday starting at 4 PM for the latest scoop about the station, its members, the schools, and the town.

THIS WEEK:

-Programming Coordinator Andrew Barker and Senior Meeting Producer Christina Gleason covered the Norfolk Public Safety Building Committee Meeting, the Norfolk Board Of Selectmen Meeting, and the Norfolk Planning Board Meeting.

-On Tuesday evening, Chris Lawn taught our Web Video Basics Workshop, where students learned how to go from edited video to internet star by looking at exporting a video and uploading it to video services such as Vimeo and YouTube as well as talking a little bit about YouTube settings and what available options it has.

-NCTV aided local parents in working on the 2016 Grade 6 Slideshow in preparation for the end of the school year.

-Member and volunteer Chris Labonte, with the help and guidance of NCTV staff, wrote the lyrics and produced the music for his next upcoming original song "The King Of The Bike."

COMING UP:

-NCTV will be covering the 2016 Freeman-Kennedy 6th Grade Promotion Ceremony on Monday.  Due to this, the studio will not be open that day until 1 PM.  If you or anyone you know would like to request a DVD copy of the event, please contact us at any time!

-On Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 6:30 PM in the main studio, Executive Director Katy Woodhams will teach our Chroma Key and Green Screen Workshop - a chance to explore the setup and uses of green screen/chroma key technology including looking at how to green screen using studio equipment as well as how to use field cameras and compositing in post production (using iMovie, FCPX, and Adobe Premiere)!  For more info, or to sign up online, click here or just show up the day of!
