It’s time again for NCTV’s Annual Meeting! The meeting will take place on Monday, April 11, 2016 from 6pm - 7pm at NCTV’s studio at 158 Main Street. We encourage all of our members from Norfolk to attend and vote! In addition to our regular annual meeting business, we will be holding board elections, voting on proposed changes to our bylaws, and awarding volunteer of the year for 2015!
During this meeting, we’ll go over the minutes from last year’s meeting, take a look at our financial report from the past year, and hear a report about what has happened in the past year.
Next, we’ll have an election for the open position on our Board of Directors. The open position this year is Secretary. Our current Secretary, Jordan Tynes, will be running again but we also welcome additional nominations from our membership. Please see our bylaws for our election procedures.
We will then present the proposed changes to our bylaws, open it up for discussion, and ultimately vote on whether or not these changes will take effect. The general idea of what we’re looking to change is to officially open up our membership to surrounding towns instead of only Norfolk, officially open up membership for minors (with restrictions), and strengthen the commitment of our board members. Check out the NCTV Annual Meeting Packet 2016 for specific wording of changes by the Bylaw Subcommittee and backed by the board as a whole.
Finally, we will present the Volunteer of the Year award and open up the floor for any additional open matters.
Download the NCTV Annual Meeting 2016 Packet for the agenda, secretary's report, and proposed bylaw changes. The Treasurer’s report and Executive Director’s Report will be available on the day of the meeting. If you have any issues downloading or viewing the document, please get in touch with me (Katy) at email@example.com and I'll be happy to send you a copy or print you a physical copy that you can pick up at the office.
We will have light refreshments for your enjoyment, because let’s be serious, who doesn’t love cookies?!
Hope to see you there!
