-On Tuesday, Production Coordinator Chris Lawn taught our Clicking Trickery Workshop, which focused on how to protect yourself from internet crime and included discussions about different types of e-mail scams, what websites to trust, how to make the most of an internet search, and online shopping do's and do not's!
-On Wednesday, Bill Crane and Duane Weiss came into the studio for "a complete and magnificent discussion of the problems of today presented by two ideal role models" in a new Bill Crane Report!
-Host Steven Olaska filmed a new segment for the upcoming third episode of Norfolk Late Nite.
-As part of our Media Literacy Month, NCTV hosted a screening of The Mean World Syndrome, a documentary that takes dead aim at a commercial media system that thrives on violence, stereotypes, and the cultivation of anxiety, and also shows how these media-induced fears and anxieties provide fertile ground for intolerance, extremism, and a paranoid style of politics that threatens basic democratic values. -The Stony Brook 2015 Fall Fair will take place tomorrow, Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 10 AM - 4 PM and will host The 2nd Annual Wood Duck Derby! All proceeds from the fair and derby go to benefit the Norfolk Community League and the Stony Brook Wildlife Sanctuary.
-This upcoming Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 6:30 PM in the main studio, NCTV Board Member Jordan Tynes will lead an interactive discussion on Copyright & Fair Use, an informational meeting and discussion about the topic so we can all leave with a better understanding of the current rules in place around copyright.
