THIS WEEK:

-Bill Crane and Duane Weiss came into the studio to for some "strong stuff presented by sound and sage fellows" on a new Bill Crane Report.

-Executive Director Katy Woodhams headed down to PACTV in Plymouth, MA, to participate in a round-table discussion on educational access and youth programming!

-On Tuesday, Katy also taught our Editing With Final Cut Pro X Workshop which featured editing basics including learning how to import media, edit video, add music and sound effects, create titles and graphics, and more!

-Senior Meeting Producer Christina Gleason headed to the Town Hall to film the Norfolk Planning Board Meeting while Programming Coordinator Andrew Barker filmed the Norfolk School Committee Meeting.  If you would like to watch them to stay informed, check out our Government Meetings playlist on our YouTube page!

COMING UP:

-This upcoming Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 6:30 PM in the main studio, Executive Director Katy Woodhams will teach our Intermediate Camera workshop, which takes a look at shooting with more control as well as taking a look at all of the features of the Sony NX5, most notably the audio inputs and focus/iris controls.  Skills learned in this class can be applied to all cameras and is highly recommended for anyone with a serious interest in filming.  For more info, or to sign up online, click here or just show up the day of!

-NCTV will hold its first Public Service Announcement Day on Friday, September 18, 2015 from 12 PM to 5 PM, which will be an opportunity for non-profit and government organizations to visit the station and film PSAs.  If you're interested in signing up, call the station directly at 508-520-2780 OR email Chris Lawn at chris@norfolkcable.com any time between now and September.
