Starting the first Tuesday of April, NCTV hosted a beginner V-Drum workshop that met for three weeks, every Tuesday at 6:30p.m. V-Drums, or virtual drums, are a full drum kit made up of mesh heads and rubber padding that look and feel like real drums. For the absolute beginner there isn't much of  a difference in feel, but for the active drummer they are more of a novelty, but very fun, with full expression and wide range of sounds spanning all styles of music.

Our group was small, but with two relatively seasoned drummers in company our beginners were kicking a beat in no time. Last night, Tuesday April, 15th was the last workshop until we meet back up in June. The workshop is open to all ages and runs for about an hour and a half, giving each in attendance a chance to sit behind the drums and share techniques with the group. It doesn't matter what skill level you are at, we are all learning together and enjoying music.
