NCTV's station manager, Dan, set up our awesome green screen for our class last night! Although it is a little time consuming, spending some quality time with the fabric steamer does the world of good when it comes to getting even lighting for a great green screen key. Thanks, Dan!

In addition to our awesome green screen, we also have another green cloth and green tape that can be used to block out sections and give the illusion that you can see right through someone!

With the screen ready to go, we spent class setting up portable lights to light the screen and studio lights to light the subject. Once we had some test footage, we took it in to the editing suite to composite the footage in Final Cut Pro X, iMovie, and even Premeire! I have experience compositing in Apple's editing programs and our student showed me how to composite in Premiere. It was a learning experience for everyone!

Don't worry if you missed out on this class. We are offering it again for the next two Tuesdays! Whether you want to be on screen or behind the camera, there are techniques you can learn to amp up your skills. Sign up for class and let us know what you're looking to learn. With small classes, they can be tailored to the students! Can't wait for next week!
